RoadSmart Report | October 2002

School bus safety
For many students, “back to school”means daily trips to and from school on a big yellow school bus. The good news for parents of these students is that studies have found school buses to be one of the safest vehicles on the road today.

How to file an auto claim
Recent changes to the traffic accident reporting system in Saskatchewan have simplified the process for drivers, but the issue of whether or not to report an accident to police is just part of filing an auto claim. To ensure a smooth claims process, it’s important that everyone involved in a collision takes the following steps.

Community grants application reminder
Helping to reduce the incidence of drinking and driving on Saskatchewan’s roads is a top priority at SGI. That is why SGI recently supported a new initiative introduced by the RCMP and Students Against Drinking and Driving (SADD), aimed at informing young drivers of the dangers associated with impaired driving.
