SGI offers customers two new services to have their car seats checked
SGI is pleased to offer two additional services to help parents ensure their children are travelling safely.
SGI now has trained car seat technicians available on a year-round basis at claims and salvage centres throughout Saskatchewan. In addition, an online car seat technician locator is now available on the SGI website, giving parents and caregivers the ability to locate additional technicians in communities throughout the province.
“We recognize that installing a child restraint is complicated. Having it done by a trained technician is really the surest way to know you’re doing it properly,” says Shannon Ell, SGI’s Manager of Traffic Safety Promotion. “These new initiatives reaffirm SGI’s commitment to traffic safety and more importantly, to keeping children as safe as possible on our roads.”
The new services will help to complement the summer child restraint campaign that SGI and their child passenger partners run each year from May to September. SGI sponsors car seat clinics throughout the province where trained technicians teach caregivers why and how they should properly restrain their children in vehicles.
