Traffic Collision Statistics
Too many people continue to be injured and killed on Saskatchewan roads as a result of traffic collisions. SGI continues to focus its efforts and partnerships on improving road safety.
2008 casualty collision statistics along with the
complete 2007 Traffic Accident Information System (TAIS) report
have been released by SGI.
See the RoadSmart Report: Drinking and driving deaths spike in 2008 for an overview of 2008 statistics.
TAIS is a computer-based system that compiles information on traffic
collisions occurring on Saskatchewan highways. This information
is captured from traffic collisions reporting by Saskatchewan police
agencies and SGI claims.
