Online Services

Child passenger safety is a priority for SGI.

We know installing a child restraint is complicated. Having it done by a trained technician is really the surest way to know you're doing it properly.

We now offer three services to have your car seats checked:

If you're trying to install a child car seat on your own, please keep the following information in mind.

For the best fit in any vehicle, the seatbelt must hold the child restraint firmly in place. To make it tight, push the child restraint down while you tighten the belt around it. It is best if there is minimal movement from side to side and front to back.

The right child restraint is more dependent on the child’s size than their age. However, a child should remain rear facing until one year of age. Check your manufacturer's instructions to ensure your seat will accommodate your child's weight.

Check Finding the Right Fit for tips on selecting the right child restraint for your child. It’s absolutely necessary that you read the instructions that come with your child restraint to make sure it’s properly installed and the right fit for your child. It’s also helpful to read your vehicle owner’s manual, and to look for instruction labels on your vehicle’s sun visor or seatbelts to ensure the child restraint is in your vehicle properly.
