"ExpressAddress" Online Moving Service Announced
Moving to Saskatchewan, or changing locations within the province,
became easier today with the launch of the "one-stop"
ExpressAddress online service.
SaskEnergy, SaskPower, SaskTel, SGI and the cities of Regina and
Saskatoon today launched the new ExpressAddress interactive website.
It is a convenient, online service, which allows Saskatchewan residents
to connect, transfer or disconnect residential services for telephone,
electricity, natural gas and water. Site visitors will also be able
to update their address for driver’s licences, vehicle registrations,
and city services such as pet licences.
With ExpressAddress, customer data is secure and confidential,
and the site visitor chooses which organization receives their information.
ExpressAddress is the first service of a Saskatchewan coalition
of organizations that are cooperating to pool expertise and financial
resources toward developing web-based customer service solutions.
"For the first time, these four Crown Corporations and our
two largest cities have worked together to introduce a major customer
service enhancement," Crown Investments Corporation (CIC) Minister
Maynard Sonntag said. "With this unique partnership between
the Crowns and the cities of Regina and Saskatoon, ExpressAddress
becomes a virtual tool in making it easier for new residents moving
to Saskatchewan, or people already here, to change their personal
information."
Website visitors can access the ExpressAddress website, www.expressaddress.com,
directly or link through one of the websites of the participating
partners.
"ExpressAddress is a practical solution that the City of
Saskatoon is pleased to offer," said Mayor Jim Maddin. "Instead
of spending time repeating the same information over and over, you
can very easily access the ExpressAddress website and quickly fill
out the online form."
"The City of Regina was pleased to work with the Crown Corporations
and the City of Saskatoon on this worthwhile project. Residents
in Regina and across the province will appreciate the time and effort
they will save by using ExpressAddress." City of Regina Mayor,
Pat Fiacco said.
Saskatchewan is the first province in Canada to offer a multiple
organization, online address change service. ExpressAddress was
developed jointly by a team from the six participating organizations
to meet growing demand for convenient online services. Other companies,
cities or towns who wish to participate in ExpressAddress can obtain
more information at www.expressaddress.com.
